Iced Ink is an instrumental 4 piece experimental band from the snowy cockles of Minneapolis. It now lives in Brooklyn, NY. Here are the 2 most Frequently Unanswered Questions we get:
Q: “So, what kind of stuff you play?”
A: There are 2 kinds of music in this world: GOOD and BAD. Iced Ink plays the good kind. Pseudo-surf jazz polka metal thrash punk rock latin white-reggae pancake waltz something-or-other.
Q: “Dude… Where’s your singer?? You guys need a singer!”
A: Many people ask this because they have been subconsciously brainwashed into a “standard conventional rock ensemble comfort zone” consisting of drums, bass, guitar, and vocals. When Iced Ink was conceived, the music was written with vocals in mind, but once we all got together and played, we decided it would be better for the audience to focus more on what the instruments are doing more than some drunken face noisist prancing around like Mick Jagger.
